Cowboy Chicken is a Dallas based restaurant that recently opened its doors in Birmingham, Alabama.
Providing a "fast casual" dining experience, Cowboy Chicken offers lunch, dinner and catering options.
AMBIANCE: The open dining space is perfect for dining with a group or alone. Free standing tables and chairs can be rearranged to accommodate large parties or you can take a seat in front of the beautiful glass encased wood fire pit !
CREAMED SPINACH
WOOD FIRE CHICKEN
SERVICE: A sign of good food is a staff that loves the menu and can make personal suggestions on what to try. Our waitress suggested pairing the fresh pico with the chicken enchiladas and made sure we experienced the sugar cinnamon on the baked sweet potatoes. Both suggestions, were right on target!

MENU: The highlight of the menu is obviously the wood fire rotisserie chicken but I would be remiss to not mention the extensive list of "Wild West" sides! With over fifteen sides to choose from, it really was hard to narrow down my favorites. The perfectly seasoned creamed spinach and the fried okra are two of my favorites! The most unique menu item has to be the white meat chicken enchiladas covered in a delicious tomatillo-sour cream sauce! Tacos, chicken salad and a BBQ chicken sandwich all showcase the delicious rotisserie chicken.
TWICE BAKED POTATERS
CORN FRITTERS
VERDICT: The rotisserie chicken at Cowboy Chicken ranks superior to most rotisseries that I have enjoyed in the past. Franchise owner Dia Zuaiter credits their wood fire rotisserie technique for the flavorful chicken. It was impressive to hear that the food is prepared fresh daily and sourced locally. Mr. Zuaiter was quite passionate about being able to provide the community with a fresh food option. His extensive experience in the restaurant industry and his vision for what he hopes to accomplish with bringing the Cowboy Chicken franchise to Birmingham was refreshing.
