When it comes to appetizers the Thai Chicken Spring Rolls at California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) are at the top of my list! So, I was super excited when CPK invited me out to try some of the items on their new “Next Chapter” menu .
CPK is rolling out their new menu nationwide but don't worry they are still serving the classic CPK favorites!
Ambiance / Service: CPK is a great place to gather with friends and family. The restaurant provides several seating options and can accommodate large parties. The open kitchen allows you a great view of the stone earth oven while you dine. The decorative "pizza box art" found throughout the restaurant adds an element of fun. Our server was well versed on the menu and suggested a few of her favorite menu items.
Tortilla Spring Rolls
Menu: The new "Next Chapter"menu items broaden CPK's offerings and showcases them as more than just a “pizza restaurant”. Menu items are made to order which allows for customization. From the vegetarian, to the picky eater, there is something for everyone!
I started out with the new Strawberry Mango Cooler. It reminded me of a fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade with a twist and I'm sure I downed at least two!
A couple of new appetizers have been added to the menu but I couldn't visit CPK and not have the Tortilla Spring Rolls. I shared the trio order and found that the peanut sauce actually pairs well with all of the rolls!
I followed up with the newly added Baked Potato Soup. The portion was large and the soup was creamy and accented by hearty bacon. After cleaning my bowl I was stuffed.
Also new to the menu is a Hearth-Roasted Halibut with butternut squash farro. I have to say CPK is more than generous in their serving sizes and the large flaky piece of Halibut was served with grilled asparagus and baby kale.

Verdict: I have to take a minute to rave over the butternut squash farro that accompanied the Roasted Halibut. It was amazing!
The entire staff vouched for the Butter Cake and insisted I try it! I have to admit, it got better with each bite! Grab your friends and family and head over to CPK and check out the new menu items!

The butter cake is definitely gets better with each bite. I'm actually thinking of going to have some CPK soon to try it again.
