COVËRING sweet little lady apples has become a fall tradition for me and not to mention a family favorite! I am always looking for new flavor combinations and the opening of a Trader Joe's in my area gave me a delicious idea!
Check out my Speculoos covered apples recipe!
INGREDIENTS: LADY APPLES (WHOLE FOODS) . SKEWERS ( 6 ich) . COOKIE BUTTER. WHITE CHOCOLATE.
Prep a cookie sheet with wax paper. Wash, dry and skewer your lady apples.
MELT: Using a microwave safe bowl melt 3/4 cup of cookie butter for 15 seconds in the microwave.
Remove and stir until smooth.
Dip and cover your lady apples with melted cookie butter.
CHILL: Line up your dipped apples on a wax paper covered cookie sheet. Place in the freezer for 10 minutes to help firm the cookie butter coating.
DIP: In a microwave safe bowl melt white chocolate according to package instructions. For six miniature lady apples I use 1 1/2 packages of Baker's Premium White Chocolate Baking Chocolate Bars.
REMIX: Feel free to add on toppings! Chopped roasted walnuts and toffee chips are a couple of my favorites. Add your toppings immediately after you dip your apples in the white chocolate!
