INGREDIENTS: OLIVE OIL. PHILADELPHIA WHIPPED CREAM CHEESE. CLASSICO PESTO. FRESH HERBS. CLASSICO PIZZA SAUCE. Your choice of FRESH TOPPINGS & SHREDDED MOZZARELLA CHEESE.
Pour a little Olive Oil into the bottom of your skillet. Mix a tub of Whipped Cream Cheese with 2 tablespoons of Classico Pesto and your favorite fresh or dried herbs! Season your herb cream cheese to taste! I used basil, oregano and thyme.
Spread your herb cream cheese mixture into the bottom of the skillet. Spread three tablespoons of Classico Pizza Sauce on top of your cream cheese. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees.
Get creative! Pile on the toppings! My Favorites: Chopped red onions & green bell peppers, black olives, deli sliced pepperoni and roughly chopped fresh spinach. Cover your toppings with a generous amount of shredded Mozzarella. Sprinkle additional herbs on top of the bed of Mozzarella and place the skillet in the oven for 20 minutes. Once your cheese begins to bubble, turn your ovens broiler on and brown the top of your dip! Be careful not to burn it!
Remember to use an oven mitten or towel as the handle of your skillet will be hot! Serve your dip with crackers or my favorite, Tofuyan Pita Pockets, warmed in the oven for a few minutes and wedged!
